How many calories are you eating? That's what matters.

Do you want to lose weight? Eat less, move more. It's not classified information :)

You don't have to kill yourself on that bike if you don't like it. Absolutely it is good for you, but by just eating a bit less you can avoid spending so much time exercising.

You lose weight by controlling the balance between what you eat and what you spend.

The amount of calories that you can control by exercise and additional activity is *relatively* small: you only have so many hours for additional activity in a day. Plus you get tired. And could get injured. You need rest days. You might catch a cold. Etc.

You have much more control over what you actually eat.

You can chose to eat less of what you have been eating, or you can chose to optimize what you have been eating with an eye towards increasing satiety while minimizing calories.

Exercise is good. And healthy. And might be good for some nice dessert too. But your weight loss? That will primarily come from your choices when it comes to your food and drink consumption.

My motto is "You gotta earn it!" I have learned that nutrition is a bigger piece of the puzzle than many realize.
