Desperate to lose 10 kgs

Dear all

i recently quit a highly stressful job working for a nut job. Without noticing, I managed to put on 13kgs on top of the 6 I had already lost by exercising and eating better. As of tomorrow morning, I'll be going for a long walk and again in the evening. Can anyone tell me how long it took them to shed weight when they stopped comfort eating? I really hope i can see a noticeable difference within the first month because i feel really disgusted with myself at the moment :'(

ps. i now weigh 113kg which is about double what I'm supposed to weigh. Please wish me luck. My friends are skinny so they won't understand.
