I did it!!! I have finally taken the plunge, I’m doing my first (5 mile & 13 obstacles ) Tough Mudder Half event. I’m not sure where to start. First, I’m out of shape but I’ve lost 18 lbs but that’s no where near my goal (-60 lbs) weight. While I do have some strength, I’m going to need a&@$*% more! What I’ve decided to do is M1 start walking/stretching M2 strength/endurance +M1 and then M3-M6 join and cross fir gym. Does anyone have any recommendations on this? Thanks for any input and have a great day!

C25k would be a good place to start7

You can find recommended boot camp schedules online. These are usually mostly bodyweight exercises that emphasize skills that will help you through the obstacles.
And yes, the C25k training will help build up your endurance. Maybe start now, add strength on alternate days after you get in the habit, then in the final month do a couple days a week where you run and train on the same day?1 -
I will definitely check out c25k. Thanks for the advice0
