A new era in dessert.

I love Pop-Tarts. I love ice cream. I love Pop-Tart ice cream sandwiches, as any sane human being who doesn’t hate themselves would.

So that’s a given. These things are awesome. But I’ve also been getting a little bored with them. They don’t quite…. excite me the way they used to. I've been thinking about ways to take dessert to the next level. I've come up with a few ideas, and decided to try one out tonight.
I went to the grocery after tennis practice today and headed straight for the back of the store. I bought a can of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls. I then went and grabbed some shave cream and envelopes just to throw anyone who might be suspicious off the trail. I checked out at register #3. The cashier had no idea she just sold me the trigger to a flavor gun.
So after dinner, I baked the cinnamon rolls. I put em all right next to each other and didn't quite bake them all the way through for maximum gooeyness. Then I took them out of the oven. I put two of them on a plate.

Now here’s the magical part. I’m getting giddy just thinking about the audacity of it. I put two big scoops of Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream right on top. Then I emptied the entire cup of icing on top of the whole thing.

First bite: Holy mother of God. So much icing, so much ice cream. Warm gooey cinnamon roll and a big chunk of cookie dough. All in the first bite. And every bite after that. Absolutely glorious. You need a fork and knife to eat this. A little extravagant, buying a whole can of cinnamon rolls just to eat two of them, but *damn*.

Discuss amongst yourselves.

Too bad they don't sell just the cinnamon roll icing. Then you wouldn't have to waste the rest of the cinnamon rolls. Looks fantastic!0
