Intermittent Fasting

When it comes to IF, would you say you HAVE to stick with the 16:8 hour span (if that's the method chosen)? Or as long as you fast for 16 hours, you can eat for however long it takes you to intake your needed calories?
My daily schedule varies, but I'm thinking as long as I fast the 16 hours, I should be good regardless?

Great job my eating span is between 6-8 hours dependong on my schedule. Helped cut late night snacking big time.1

It's complete irrelevant.... Calories are what matter.4

If 16:8 is the method you've chosen, yes, you have to not exceed your "feeding window", in order to be following it. If you mean a smaller window, that is okay.
If your goal is weightloss, general health and happiness, pick any meal schedule you're comfortable with. Your primary concern is getting in all the nutrition you need, and not too many calories.4 -
Depends on what you are expecting IF to do for you and what your goals are.
For the vast majority of people, feeding vs fasting makes no difference in weight management. Calorie intake is the deciding factor there. IF is a tool some people use to help manage calorie intake, but ultimately, it all comes down to calorie intake and has nothing to do with feed windows or fast windows or anything like that.2
