Activity multiplier for 20 or 25000 steps.

Can't seem to find info for step counts higher than 10000. My fitbit gives me calorie expenditures at 2X my bmr for that kind of step count. Is that completely insane ?

The calorie burn varies with the type activity done to get those steps, walking , running, moving around the house, etc.

In reality, 25000 steps is probably something like 20 miles? Assuming that you're burning about 50 incremental calories per mile walked, then that would be worth another 1000 calories to your day vs a sedentary baseline.

25,000 is probably closer to 12 miles, as 10,000 steps is typically around 5 miles.

You are correct. Not sure why I halved the steps per mile in my post.
