CICO diet with barely any weight loss but fitting into smaller clothes?!

I started the CICO diet about a month ago. Scales are reflecting barely any loss but I am fitting into clothes two sizes smaller? Is this happening to anyone else? I get so disheartened when I see the numbers stay the same , but am feeling a bit better today.

Well are you doing any kind of exercise? you may be gaining muscle as well. That is why scales are not all the great and sometimes lie to you. What do you see in the mirror or did you take any before photos? The clothes being 2 sizes smaller is also a much better indication your losing inches which is more important.

How are you measuring your food?

(P.S. I guess by "CICO diet" you mean eating what you want within your calories? Because it's a bit of a misnomer. CICO is equation for energy balance. It's the underlying principle behind any way of eating. It's not a diet. If your calories in=calories out, you maintain. If calories in > calories out, you gain. If calories in < calories out, you lose. But how you get there? Low carb, keto, vegetarian, paleo, etc... it's all CICO.)

Wow 2 sizes smaller! what a fabulous NSV (non scale victory) The scale will catch up soon.
