My backyard looks like a postcard certain times of the year

Wow that's super! Have you stocked your pond at all?

We haven’t. We’ve only been here less than 2 years and there are so many issues on the inside that the outside is just going to have to wait.

Sound's a lot like my ex.

    Progression of our house fire..

The first four pics span about ten minutes.

Sorry you lost your house in a fire. Hopefully you're now on the upswing of recovery, and rebuilding. While house fires can be devastating, there's also some good that comes of it. Just have to find the positive in such a negative event.

This is something I think everyone should see. Modern construction buildings, and furnishings can cause a house to go up in flames in very few minutes. If you're in a remote area, chances are you'll lose your house before it can be put out.

Thanks. To be honest I've only seen good from it. Well, other than my kids struggling a little bit. For the most part though, we don't miss anything.

I know enough people who have had to try to recover from smoke damage after a partial loss that I was honestly glad it went up as fast as it did. I mean as long as we got out, I didn't care about the stuff anyway. I can't imagine having to sort through and clean up stuff I never really cared about to begin with. lol

I'll agree with you in that I'd rather have a total loss of items, and a little bit of inconvenience rather than having to deal with cleanup, smoke damage, etc. You've got a great attitude about it. It's amazing how so many are attached to material goods.

You’re more than welcome. Hope you don’t hate ghosts or bats.

My daughter's wedding photo with her husband Carlos and their (my grandson) Adrian. Dominic is there too but he didn't make his official appearance for several months! lol

Adrian looks so sad because he had an earache that day.

Photos from the Nagasaki Lantern Festival back in 2011. I really miss living in Japan.
