Hi guys, I'm new to the community but not to MFP. I'm currently 175lbs wanting to get to 133lbs. However, I've fallen off the bandwagon before and now, more determined than ever, I'm looking for some friends to keep me accountable as I'm on a long road.

A little about me? I love games, pc mainly but have PS4 and babble in a couple of boardgames. I love films and TV shows. To name a few of my favourites I'd have to go with Firefly, Fifth element, Stranger things, Dirk gently, Jurassic park, Deep Blue Sea etc.
On a side note, I also collect B rate shark films. You name it, I probably own it xD This includes Jurassic Shark, Ghost Shark and the truly terrible film, Shark Exorcist... I do not recommend the last one.

I play D&D too, mostly 5e these days but started off with pathfinder 3.5.

So enough about me, I've rambled waay too long, anyone out there want to friends and help keep each other on track?

*Edit: forgive the typos, my phone clearly decided that some words needed to be swapped for others.

Hi there, and welcome to the community! One of the things I have learnt from this community, and experienced myself, is that you're only accountable to yourself. If you depend on others to stop you from eating, or make you exercise, you're setting yourself up to fail. I also learnt that weight management isn't a wagon, horse, train, or track, it's a small, but conscious daily effort, forever. Friends are great, but they aren't very reliable or effective weightloss tools.

While I accept that its predominantly down to me, personally, I found having friends who are trying the same thing as you is wonderful motivation. Different people though. My sister in law has said she found it hard without her group she met at dieting group.

I won't be relaying on them, but having one or two people message me asking how things are going, always helps. Especially gym buddies, who always help you push your limits.
But thanks for the stern advice.
