Hitting the milestone this year (the one after 30) can’t hardly say that number! Ha! Trying to adjust to a healthier lifestyle! Any suggestions for exercises for a person with bad knees?

I'd say that losing weight is the best thing for weight-bearing joints. I've had knee problems, but not since I had it surgically repaired and got to a healthy weight.

Ever since I dislocated my left knee twice, it has never been the same. Acting up when running and specific moves in barre made it twingy. I stopped running and switched to spinning or rowing for cardio and upped the number of strength workout classes I do and it has made a big difference! It is probably a factor of everything. I found going on mini hikes through woods just as enjoyable as running.

In summary, I would find a workout routine that accommodates your bad knees that you enjoy. Perhaps swimming? Also working on building muscles in your legs and stretching your legs frequently probably will help you in the long run.

Low impact stuff, are you seeing a physio at all, they would be able to give you some good ideas on how to modify exercises to avoid doing yourself any further damage. Sounds awful but I found a lot of videos aimed at seniors were useful when I had a bad back and knee.

Low impact like "walking style" workouts - Jessica Smith & Leslie Sansone on YouTube. A decent quality rebounder (mini-trampoline) will let you jog, low impact style.
