My name is Jennifer Lucas, I'm 34yrs old. I'm new to all this. I need motivation, when I started going to the gym again, I kept saying I need motivation. What brought me back to the gym again was having my second back surgery.

I love going to the gym m, but, I haven't got the eating part down yet. I downloaded this App and still find it hard, I'm a very picky eater?

Any suggestions, daily motivation, Friendships would be great, I'm struggling.

I wish the weight would come off quicker, etc, etc

    Welcome to MFP!

If you tell yourself you're struggling, you'll struggle. "Motivation"="what you want", not magic dust. Focus on what you need to do, instead.

If your goal is weightloss, all you have to do, is eat less. You can eat less of anything you want. MFP just tells you how much to eat to eat less, so you lose weight, but not too little, so you lose your mind, hair, friends etc.

Then there is the issue of realistic expectations and patience. If you do everything right, all the time, which is simple and straightforward, (but not necessarily easy, at least not all the time, but a lot easier if you eat food you like) - set your calorie target appropriately, weigh and log your food intake correctly, hit your daily calorie target - you still can't expect to lose more than 1% of your bodyweight per week.
