I have probably changed more behaviors collectively over the last 3 years than over my rather brief 47 years, some physical, but mostly mental. This process had made me realize the importance of the psychological aspect and just how fundamentally flawed we all are in our thinking and why it is so critical to challenge, discuss, and understand topics and each other to survive. I'm realizing just how prominent passive aggressive behavior has been in my family and how destructive this is.

I have learned just how many narcissistic personalities exist and how these come to being. Typically this is out of survival from a trauma experienced in early developmental years.

I have learned that is about what you say, but how you say it.

I have learned that it is far more critical to understand why people believe something rather than what the belief is.

I have learned that I cannot hope to change anyone outside myself. Changing myself is hard enough and I fully support and refuse to be silent in supporting another’s efforts to change.

About the best we can do is establish expectations of one another and to be open and honest about this.
