Crosstrainer/Elliptical making thighs tighter

I have been using the cross trainer Precor i576 for about 3 months..these past couple weeks I increased the resistance to 16 and the incline to 15...i noticed my butt is noticeably more lifted which I loveee and I can feel the side of my thighs more firmer too...however my jeans have been fitting way more snug and they didn't fit like this just 2 weeks ago...I thought I was gaining muscle n my thighs and that was the cause but I saw the difference n the way they fit within only 2 weeks which doesn't seem rational...I love how my butt is toning but I really do not want bigger thighs my goal is to lose 30 lbs and be slimmer...should I cut the resistance down or decrease the incline? Or is this a cause of something else? I eat well, I know it's not my diet because I track everything and this is not my first rodeo with losing weight but this the first time I experienced this..any answers???
