Calorie intake

So from my previous post I said that I was taking in 1500 calories per day was an 18 year old 5’5 male with around 21-23% bf. And a lot of people gave me tips and that I should bump up my calories. Found an online calculator which said to multiply your current weight by 15 to get the calories you need to maintain your weight. So thats what I did and got around 2300 calories to maintain so I’ve decided to subtract 500 calories for that for my cutting which would 1800. Is my calculations correct? I’ll be starting this tomorrow. And I’ll give feedback after 2 weeks of this new calorie intake.

Why not set MFP up to lose a pound a week? The calculator you used doesn't account for activity level and such.2
