I work at a vets office. I spend 40 hours a week there. I clean cages (literally getting in some of the cages), clean runs (scrubbing with a scrub brush) walk dogs, do dishes etc. what would my activity level be? I haven’t started an exercise program yet

It doesn't matter that you haven't started an exercise program as that's literally nothing to do with your activity setting on MyFitnessPal. It's a separate entity in its own right.

From your description I would guess 'Active' but your lifestyle outside of work also has a bearing on the setting.

I don’t do a whole lot at home. Cook dinner shower laundry every now and then not much cleaning other people do that and I clean up after myself. By time I get off work I’m tired so most days it’s shower dinner watch tv bed

I walk my dogs an hour+ a day & volunteer at a animal rescue, I have mine set at lightly active. If it's below your activity, it's a good thing. I only log exercise when it's actural exercise, like at the gym or from home video

In that case then probably agree with lightly active. After a month you will start to have real world results to go on which are far more important than estimations. Best of luck.
