How many steps for each activity level?

Options
One time a saw a description of how many steps a day equate to each activity level but now I can’t find it. Does someone know what it is?

Thanks

Thanks for sharing. That is a little different than the one I saw. Would you say that 5,00-10,000 steps fall into the lightly active category?

Using MFP settings the majority of people will exceed the designated activity setting at the following step levels (some won't exceed even with that many, some will have exceeded them long before. Food logging accuracy, type and circumastances of steps and outlier status when it comes to BMR all play a role)

Sedentary: 5000 (most exceed by 3500)
    Lightly active: 8000
    Active: 12,500
    Very active: 16000

5k to 10k is probably lightly active at the low end and active at the high end.

The link given above corresponds to published studies but uses siightly different activity levels than MFP.
