Easter dinners

So I have 4 dinners, Friday-Monday. My plan is eating 200 calls for breakfast. Skip lunch and I have 1200 Cals for dinner, and desserts. I understand the CICO method and I'm under my calorie goals. But after 2 dinners, this morning I'm up 4 pounds! I assume it's harder to digest so much food at once, but I figured I should still be maintaining/losing this weekend because I'm still at my deficit, is this normal? Hoping it will even out after Easter.

Salty ham? Probably just water and swings are normal.2

your likely intaking alot more salt thn normal. Aswell as more food in general weighing you down. Eat mindfully and enjoy, Dont let it stress you because even that can cause water retention Youll be okay0

It’s totally normal to go up in weight when you eat a larger than usual volume of food at an unusual to you time. It’s just your digestive system sorting things out. Maybe some water retention from Aunt Cindy’s cheesy mashed potatoes. If you’re at or under your calorie goal you aren’t gaining fat. I’d stay off the scale for a few days if it’s going to stress you out.2

I would say it's just water retention. You won't know the real deal until probably the end of the week.
I'm a bit nervous about today's Easter dinner. I've been somewhat okay for two weeks. My calories are set at 1410. I haven't been able to stick to that most days, but I'm close. I hope all the delicious food does not set me on some course of binge eating. I usually do better with these types of things when I've been tracking for long periods.0 -
I’m nervous too. Unhealthy foods cause me to eat other unhealthy foods. Esp in large groups. I just ate about 500 cals, so saving 900 for the rest of the day (100 for a serving of Greek yogurt before I go to keep my fullness in check so I don’t waste cals/fill up on carbs and candy).0

Fortunately I'm cooking. I smoke a ham, some lamb chops, and a whole chicken. I made a sugar free lome jello salad with cottage cheese. I made a lot or roasted asparagas and sweet potatoes. Try roasting sweet potatoes with no add-ons. I cook mine on the grill and like them better than the buttery-sugary casseroles.
It is late now for a plan, but a long walk may help. Most important, enjoy family and ponder what the resurrection offers you.3 -
Also, because the best place for my scales is in front of the microwave, I weigh way too often, and know way too much about weight fluctuations.
If you eat 1400 calories at 7 am on Monday and none through the day, just drink water, and if you eat 1400 calories at 7 pm on Tuesday and only water the rest of the day, you will weigh 3-5 pounds more on Wednesday morning than you did on Tuesday morning. No real long term weight loss or gain, just timing of meals.2
