    Your weight loss goal is aggressive, but possible. I found it hard to lose more than 1lb/week for more than a couple of weeks.

    I did something similar for my 50th. A few years later, I wondered why I was so focused on weight alone, and I have since done combined challenges in eating, exercise, and personal growth. I found them to feed off of each other. In other words, chose an eating goal (make healthy eating choices within a calorie limit), add a fitness challenge (walk x miles daily), and throw in a lifestyle challenge (join a book club, etc.).
