Why do thee famous skinny ninnies avoid bread? What's wrong with it? Can't you eat bread every day as long as you eat within your calorie allowance?

....whatever youve been listening to is full of it. Dont believe everything you hear nothing is wrong with bread3

Celebrities aren't any better at telling weight loss fact from fiction than your ordinary person.
Additionally, some people find it easier to hit their calorie goal when they reduce/eliminate bread, so even someone who knows there is nothing "wrong" with bread may eat less of it just because they prefer other foods more.6 -
Maybe they are too rich.3

Maybe they like cake better.7

My ex has pretty much cut it out, she says it makes her bloated and doesn't satisfy her for long. She's lost a load of weight by drastically cutting carbs which for her works as protein keeps her fuller for longer making it easier to maintain a calorie deficit.
She attributes weight loss to lack of carbs rather than a calorie deficit though3 -
OP...you can eat bread everyday and as much as will fit into your calorie allotment. However...you might not be able to fit in the other foods that you want and/or need.
I find that reducing my bread consumption allowed me to have a better balanced diet. I make a cheddar biscuit that I absolutely love. I could make a whole meal out of them. I still make them but not as often.
My advice...if you are going to eat bread...make it good bread. Don't waste your calories on bread that tastes like cardboard. I tried to eat sodium free bread (due to HBP)...I just couldn't do it no matter what I smeared on top of it!4 -
Also OP...it is just not famous skinny minnies that find bread taboo...there are many people(at least in the past when I spent more time in the Community) that also banned bread for whatever reasons.1

Celebrities do all kinds of silly things.6

How do you know what celebrities eat?10

A lot of people avoid bread due to the harmful additives. Really, if you're going to eat anything that's not organic, you're killing yourself just as fast.39

What kind of harmful additives are you talking about?
Also I'm unaware of any study demonstrating that people who sometimes or often eat non-organic food die earlier than those who eat only organic food. Can you share the basis for your claim that if you're eating anything non-organic, you're killing yourself?8 -
Maybe it's Passover and the people you're reading about are Jewish and observing Passover.
Otherwise I can't think of a reason why you would know who is or isn't eating bread.1 -
Because big protein has a very effective marketing campaign and massive budgets!6

Celebrities do some very strange things so I wouldn't pay attention to it.
Nothing wrong with it. I eat it pretty much every morning.

WOW...I am 65 y/o and have eaten bread all of my life. I also don't eat organic. In the past I ate a lot of processed foods...I don't now but that has nothing to do with thinking that I am going to kill myself. I just find that I can make some of those same foods from scratch with fewer calories and sodium. Plus since I am retired I have more time to cook than I did when I was working and raising children.

It's like tax day. In the event that April 1 falls on a weekend, April Fools day is to be designated as the first business day after April 1.15 -
OP stop looking at whatever woo filled nonsense blogs or Instagram posts that tell you what celebrities do and don’t eat for weight loss. You aren’t a celebrity, you don’t have a personal chef and makeup/hair artist, not paparazzi following you around.
Eat a sensible, balanced, calorie appropriate diet that can include bread or any other foods you enjoy in moderation.4 -

"Living" is what gets you killed.
If you were inorganic you would be kind of immortal ... if you were living at all that is.
Petrified is the state to be.3 -
Wuhell then, all you assume I eat all organic and shun people who don't! It's just like cigarettes, sometimes things that are bad for you are still legal. It doesn't mean people are going to look up every ingredient and follow it to a tee. I was simply stating that there are people who believe this.

Nobody was getting offended that I saw. They just questioned the accuracy of your statement.5 -

quit getting all offended
Who was offended? We were simply responding to a false statement.4 -
For some, it could do with wanting to avoid water weight, which can make a noticeable difference when you're small. The water weight can make it appear like bread is making them "fat" and that going w/o it keeps them lean.

For all of you that are holding onto your bread for dear life, that's fine with me. For all else:

Even if an ingredient does "scare" you, you can easily find bread made without it or even make your own bread. Avoiding all bread because you're frightened of an ingredient that may be found in some bread doesn't make any sense.9 -
