How many carbs are too many?

Trying to wrap my head around the whole carb thing, and I have to admit it is really making my head spin, primarily because carbs are everywhere...even sticking to foods that should be "better", such as whole grains (bread, wild rice), oatmeal, some veggies (broccoli, cauliflower), and greek yogurt. I simply see no way of avoiding, and to be honest I am not sure I want to as I think the fiber that comes from these foods is needed.

So, that begs the question, how many carbs are too many ?With MFP, I am "allowed" 300 grams of carbs a day, but I try to keep it at 150-200. Is this too many? Usually I max out my protein allowance.

There is no real reason to watch your carbs, unless you have a medical reason to. Some people swear by the low carb way of eating, personally, I eat up to and sometimes over 200g of carbs a day and still lose weight. Carbs are not the devil. Enjoy them!

mfp sets protein and fat a little low really... so a few less carbs and more protein and fat wouldnt hurt.

that being said, i still eat around 200g carbs per day, with my macros set at 40/35/25 for carbs, fat, protein

I just had a big old bowl of ramen noodles. Not the crappy instant kind, the awesome kind from a ramen bar. In Japan.

Don't worry about carbs, just get enough protein and worry about calories. You'll find what works for you over time.
