Anyone else recently had a baby and breastfeeding and trying to lose weight ? I’ve lost 30lbs in 8 weeks but have a lot to go.
My current goal weight is my prepregnancy weight, but I’d like to lose 30 more pounds than that eventually.
Any tips or anyone want motivate each other ?

My baby is 11 months old and I'm down 54 pounds while nursing. I gained 55 during pregnancy so I'm almost back to my starting weight. I'd like to lose a bit more after that but I'm not sure how much yet. I adjust my calories to lose no more than a pound a week but it's taken some experimentation to figure out what my calories need to be at. Right now, I eat about 2000-2100 calories a day to account for my daily activity and exercise calories. I do weigh and measure everything I eat to keep track. Breastfeeding creates a big deficit on its own so it's not necessary to create a deficit on top of it. Lots of women here start by eating at maintenance and manually adjust from there. It's recommended not to lose more than a pound per week while breastfeeding.1
