Vitamins?

So I took a "break" from watching what I ate for awhile there and gained 10 pounds back, and i don't want to gain anymore so I'm starting over. What I was wondering is if there's any vitamins (not diet pills or supplements or any of those scams) that help with weight loss- stuff that boosts metabolism or gives you energy or anything else that's helpful when losing weight, and which ones you would recommend? I know only a healthy diet really works, I'm just wondering if there's anything to combine it with that helps.

Food is energy. A varied diet with 80% nutrient dense foods and 20% from other foods you enjoy and sticking to a calorie deficit is all you need.3 -
No, their are no vitamins with any good proof that they help you lose weight.
Exercise is good for your metabolism.
Caffeine can give you energy to stay active and for some folks is a mild appetite supressant.
Supplementing vitamins only helps your body run better if you are actually deficient. So schedule a physical if you haven't had on recently and get blood work done to see how you're doing.
The rest is all about what you do. Log accurately and consistently, move more, and be patient. Good job at stopping the skid before it got worse!1 -

Exercise and general daily activity.2 -
You don’t need a healthy diet to lose weight either. You need it if you want to be healthy, obviously, but as far as simple weight loss goes it doesn’t matter what you’re eating as long as it’s less calories than you’re burning.0

The only way this might help is if you are having a deficit in something and you are overeating because you are craving stuff and you are refusing yourself the food that has the vitamins you need. But if eating a somewhat healthy diet that should not happen.0

When it comes to dieting, less is more. If there were a pill that would tell us to put the snack back, that would be the pill to take. But there isn't.
So the most effective vitamin would be placebo, taken with a full glass of water. Instead of food.0
