Had spinal fusion surgery in December and got the clearance yesterday that all is good and I can now start doing more than walking. But I'm terrified to do much of anything because of all the problems that I had pre-surgery. Any suggestions on easy exercising?

That's a pretty common fear. Going through that is actually traumatizing and it can be a blessing and a curse to feel so much apprehension about starting again. It's good because you are conscious and aware of your body, but it's also good and okay to be active.

Really this is a question for your doctor/physical therapist. I think you'd feel more confident and comfortable getting advice from a professional who knows you, don't you?

I'd get a personal trainer who specialises in your sort of injury

I've done my physical therapy and have their stretching exercises, and now that the dr has signed off and given me my release I'm on my own completely. He said I have no restrictions at all just to ease into anything i haven't done for awhile.

What do you eventually want to do? What are your fitness goals?
What equipment do you have available?
