Hey! I’m somewhat new to MFP but I need some motivation on losing weight. I’m 19 years old and weigh over 200 pounds so I’m really out of shape.
I just need some support and motivation to keep my calories in check and to not over eat. I want to look great and be healthy!

It’s common to think you might need motivation, but I believe what is needed is determination. You might need to interrupt automatic habits and replace them by creating new habits. You might need to make changes to your diet and add some exercise. What do you want most? Instant gratification or looking great and becoming healthier? You are welcome to add me.

Well we both have the same goals and are looking for support and motivation for the same reasons. I’ve been a MFP for a while but just coming back to make more conscientious decisions and need the accountability for my better habits.

Motivation is "what you want". You want "to lose weight", so that is your motivation. Now extend that motivation to "not overeat". Your food diary is a great help. If you keep your calories in check, you're not overeating.
