Weigh more first thing in morning

Looking for advice.
I have always been often belief that you should weigh yourself First thing in morning after using the bathroom before breakfast and this being a accurate weight.
However overhead last few months this hasn't been the case I might with myself once a week first thing in morning etc etc and boom Iv gained 4-5pounds. However I then go have my breakfast use the bathroom a few more times were talking 2-3 hours later and then I'm down those éxtra pounds and where I should be weight wise. Iv tested this theory a good few times and I always weigh more first thing in morning then i do later in the day and in some cases I weigh more first thing in morning then I did at night time. I eat my big meal late in the evening, I have the scales in the same place on tiles and always calibrate it by putting something that weighs for example 3 kg on it to make sure its accurate.
My question is should I be using the lowest weight i.e the afternoon weight as most accuarte and go off this instead of morning weight?

All times you weigh yourself are equally accurate. Using an average helps you keep track of the general trend.

Does your weight one morning bounce up 4-5 lbs from the previous morning? Do you eat or drink very different amounts from day to day?
What you are looking for in determining weight loss progress is comparing weights taken at the same time under the same condition to each other is observing the change over days and weeks. Your weight is not inaccurate just because it isn't the lowest weight of the day. If you want to compare afternoon weights to afternoon weights then do so.
Pick a time of day. Always weigh at that time.3 -
Your body weight will change throughout the day. Just keep weighing yourself the same time each day to see the overall trend over time.
Why would you be getting on the scale multiple times in one day anyway? That doesn't sound like a healthy relationship with your scale. Maybe start weighing yourself less often so you aren't so concerned about minute fluctuations daily/hourly?4 -
My calories are all loaded into the latter half of my day, so I consistently weigh 3-5 lb more in the morning than in the afternoon. I do weigh myself daily (at least, when I"m actively cutting), and usually step on the scale in the morning and the afternoon. I find that this, rather than lead to an unhealthy obsession with the scale weight, helps to to have a better understanding of what leads to daily scale fluctuations, and encourages me to see the big picture trend.
When I record my weight, I use the number from the afternoon weigh-in. I'm still digesting dinner when I weigh in in the mornings.2 -
Personally I weigh one a week since weight does fluctuate frequently. I recently saw this and found it helpful1

Thanks for the replies
Nope I'm a pretty picky eater so pretty much the same every day.
Weight doesn't bounce from morning to morning but will be approx 4-5 pounds heavier than if u weigh a few hours later.
I do eat most of my calories in evening and am not the best sleeper and get maybe 6-7 hours asleep during week.
Wouldn't say Iv an unhealthy relationship with the scales used to be weighed and measured every 6-8 weeks as part of my fitness plan in the gym am just started weighing myself at home now as not needed in the gym but just thinking this weight at the gym was taken at the weekend usually around 10-12 so usually when Iv had more sleep etc so might just stick to this time when doing it at home.0 -

If a few hours later includes the bowl movement then of course you will weigh less than before it.0 -

WEIGHT IS A FORCE. IT IS A MENAINGLESS NUMBER AND A PHONY WAY TO DIAGNOSE FATNESS.....
GET A CLUE, A KINDERGARTNER COULD PUSH AND MOVE SGHAQW IF HE WERE SITIING ON ICE. YOU WOULD WEIGH MORE ON JUPITER ALOT MORE AND YOU WOULD WEIGH LESS FLOATING IN THE SEA OR WALKING ON THE MOON
GET OFF THIS WEIGHT KICK..

The variable part of your weight is made up of more than just fat. Water, waste products, what you’re eating, etc. can all add up to several pounds of weight. Is your last meal of the day higher in sodium or carbohydrates? You could be holding on to water in the morning. It could even be that your bathroom trips release a heavier amount of waste than the weight than you gain from eating and drinking. Don’t worry about fluctuations over the day because unless you’re eating and drinking many thousand calories more than you should, it’s all useless background noise. If you’re trending over time in the right direction, you’re ok.
As others have said, pick a time and stick to it. Personally I wouldn’t want to commit to weighing myself mid-morning since I’m often at work or running errands during that time, but whatever makes sense for you.0
