    under ripe banana...really bad
    just right banana...very good
over ripe banana...makes really good muffins(but only if you add peanut butter)

So I read somewhere that bananas are awful for weight loss. Im totally confused. Could you guys give me your thoughts on this. Thank you.

How many bananas do you eat that this is a concern?
Weight loss is not that complicated. You just need a calorie deficit. If you choose to eat most of your calories in bananas but don't go over your calorie gosl you will lose weight. Same as any food.

Any time you see some goofball site with a headline like "5 Foods You Should NEVER Eat To Lose Weight!!!", immediately hit your browser's "back" button and go somewhere else. That kind of stuff is silly garbage and you shouldn't pay any attention to one more word on whatever website that is.

Coincidentally enough, many of those stupid headlines are accompanied by a picture of a banana, for whatever dumb reason. Bananas are no better or worse than any other food for weight loss.

bananas are amazing and as long as your doctor approves you eating them (i.e you are not diabetic or something else) you can fit them into your daily calorie allotment with no issue.

Awful for me. That's a strong word but I do find them too calorie dense. I'd rather have protein than carbs.
