In my experience, with both sunny side up and over easy, some of the white is still runny/clear, not set/solid as Jo describes. Yuck.1 -

Yea im not a fan of runny whites but it does happen quite often with sunny side or over easy. Im guilty of it sometimes when i take it off the skillet too eary without realizing it and not willing to throwi it back on with the risk of popping the yolk xD
In the last minute of cooking, put the lid of the pan on. Problem solved. No more runny whites.
Yep.. I do that with a glass lid, when I see the top go opaque I know it's ready.. so yolk is still runny but all white is cooked.0
