Online Bra Shopping

I'm frustrated with bra shopping, I can't seem to find a good quality bra in the right size. My cup size seems to be disproportionate to my band size, I need a 44D. Usually the biggest I can find in D is 38 or 40, after that they go to DD.

Anyway, what's a good website to order bras? Does anyone have any tips?

  • I personally love Lane Bryant's bras. For everyday bras that is - I haven't tried any sports bras from them. I am also a 44D and they actually carry that size!!! I know that you can order from them online and you can usually find some sort of coupons for them as well. :-)

Are you in the UK or US? If UK, try Bravissimo. They have a really good range of sizes and don't break the bank. Also try Simply Be, Fig Leaves (although I didn't find their sizing choices as good as Bravisimo), Evans (clothes shop but they have an online store too) and a shop called Leila. I'm not sure if Leila are online though..

I would suggest not buying bras online unless you specifically know the manufacturer, style and size is right for you.

Each manufacturer and style is going to fit differently. You might even need to adjust the size you might be a 38 DD in one and a 36 DD in another. For the appropriate fit you need to try them on.

When I need to re-size for bras I normally go in to a shop meant for bras and try on at leat 50 to find 3 or 4 that fit perfect.

Once I know the bra manufacture, style and size I can then re-order online.

Edit: I am a 38DD and have trouble finding bras with the perfect fit for my boobs. For example I spent an hour in lane bryant trying on all of their bras. Only one worked for me.

normally you can go up a cup and down the band size or something like that, try this out in shops, so try like a 42DD and see if that works for you.
I have this problem too but the other way round haha
i cant get a band small enough in my size unless i go to an expensive shop

HerRoom is hands down the best online bra site. Their bra finder is awesome - it's about more than just cup and band size to get perfect fit.

I suggest you go into a specialty bra shop or a Nordstrom's & get professionally fitted. Most women are wearing the wrong size bra. Once you know your size (if the bra shop didn't have anything you like), I also like herroom.com. I've also had good luck with http://www.barenecessities.com/ . I used to really like Lane Bryant bras too.

Ditto on Herroom. I also really love Soma Intimates. They have odd sizes that I can't find elsewhere (Im 34DDD, or 34G, depending on the style of bra).
