Best Workout Programs/Schedules?

I'm looking to switch up my workouts. Are there any programs/routines people have tried or recommend for getting lean/building muscle?

    I recommend 9Round. It's a 30 minute kickboxing exercise routine. I'm down 40 pounds & counting, and the workouts are never the same twice. Not only is it fun, but for me, it's also therapy.

    There is no best. Some are definitely better than others, but there are a lot of variables that can determine which ones might be better or worse. I'd start with the thread AnvilHead posted above.

    Just so we're talking about the same thing...
    Getting lean: reducing body fat to expose underlying muscle. This is a function of weight loss.
    Building muscle: growing/adding new muscle tissue (mass). This is a function of gaining weight.

    While they are not completely and entirely exclusive of each other, they are at odds with each other.
