Nearly six years ago, I was advised to begin logging my food intake; and that MFP was a great way to do it. In the beginning I could not believe what a pain in the neck it was. However, after time; it became part of my daily routine. I have learned so much about food, about myself, the effects of eating garbage and how something "as simple" as logging food and exercise can change your life. Our health is something that we need to focus on each and every day. Holding yourself accountable to our choices is a great way to do that. I don't claim to be an expert, I just know what has worked for me. My profile shows a 54 pound weight loss. I had lost about 40 prior to finding MFP. I have used MFP to keep between 85-95 pounds off for over five years. If you are just starting, just stick with it... you will get to your goals. Current streak of logging all food and exercise for me is at 2,054 days.
