I have been using MyFitnessPal for over a year but I have been too shy to get involved in the message boards before today. I recently started a medical weight loss program and I have been encouraged to connect with others who are dealing with the same issues.
I have been struggling with my weight since I was in high school but I wasn't really motivated to do anything about it until my health started to decline last year. I am about to graduate from graduate school and finally start a career I love so I don't want my weight to get in the way.
So I started learning how to cook and relearning how to eat healthily. On a graduate student budget that is no easy task.
Anyway, I look forward to connecting with the community here and hope to learn and share along the way.
