    Don't pay any attention to the negative Nancy's out there, it is not a bad thing to take a break from your regular routine and give your body a rest from the preservatives and high sodium levels of so many foods. Love Dr. Oz's green drink!

    Second day of the cleanse my weight today is 192.1lbs. I truly love the AM and Dinner smoothie. Keeps me regular and feel good.Thanks sugah11 for the positive words.

    There is nothing but pure nutrition with a raspberry,spinach,banana,flaxseed almond butter smoothie.
    It has so less sugar and unbelievably sweet.

    Take no notice of negative comments - raw for 3 days sounds good, gives your body a rest from any junk. Good luck x

    That sounds really tasty! I've done the Master Cleanse before, and it was intense. The body may gain back water weight, HOWEVER, after a cleanse you feel fantastic. I have found since I've done my cleanse, all soda that isn't natural (or A&W diet rootbeer for some reason) tastes disgusting and much like a poison to me. You'll find that even if you gain water weight back, you'll be able to lose quicker, and make healthier choices. Good luck! :)

    It's not negative. It's what is happening. When the OP goes back to eating normal it's gonna happen.. and they're going to wonder why.
    Disagreement =/= negative.

    So, they eat raw.. and they poop. Imagine that. The scale changes. Brilliant. So, eating very little sodium doesn't cause water retention, right? Veggies make you poop? Yeah, that's how it happens. That's what works. There is NOTHING wrong with eating more veggies, but to call it a cleanse is ridiculous.

    Here, so there are no hard feelings, have a majestic unicorn along with my good advice:

    Now, I hope that's better and we're all friends again.

    I have no problem with "cleansing" (though I see it as unnecessary), but I can not get behind anything with "Dr. Oz" on it.
    Anyway, good luck. I sincerely hope you realize that losing weight and being healthy does not take place over a 3 day period and that your body is much more capable than you are giving it credit for.
    As an aside, if you get enough fiber and a lot of water you will usually avoid constipation.

    I might try this, let me know how it goes. I think I need a good cleanse, my body has been holding onto a lot of toxins recently!

    Dear OP,

    Meet the liver.

    liver_illustration.jpg

    Everyone has one. It does really cool stuff like detoxifying chemicals and filtering the blood. You know, the same things that Dr. Quack... er, Oz... says his 'cleanse' will do.

    Just wanted to introduce you two.

    This!!
    Cant really argue with that!!

    ^This. Dr. Oz is a snake oil salesman. He's just a surgeon that sold his soul for a quick, celebrity buck.

    My husband did this as he was frustrated because he had hit a plateau. Worked like a charm. He lost 3 pounds in 3 days and did not gain it back. In fact he has lost couple of more pounds since then and thinking of doing it again. Good luck.

    Dr Oz threads are my fave......

    Me too. Heres a testimonial comment on the Dr Oz detox. The experience is what really keeps it going:

    "It's a tough one, but so worth it!! By day 3 I had to eat 2 of the celery stalks instead of adding them to the smoothie. I know it wont be as effective, but I HAD to. LOL It made a big difference on the taste"

    Yes, eating the celery stalks instead of sucking the juice out of it will make the diet so much less effective because clearly all these organs that I have in my body arent really worth a damn and arent doing their job. Im thinking I should just get them removed so I can lose some more weight. What do you think? Dr Oz approved?

    This. Stop taking health advice from someone who only wants you to "be beautiful". Yes, that may be what you want... but when it comes to who you take advice from find someone who cares about your health. That's the best way there.

    mmm yep.

    I have found Dr Oz to be a good starting point for information. However, you must then do research to dig a bit deeper and find out if what he is saying applies to you. You put Dr. Oz in the title, so you will get a LOT of haters. I'd consider myself a strong disliker, but your body is your business.

    Please don't be discouraged when the weight comes back at the end of it all. And don't go stark raving mad when you get to eat solids again at the end. You could actually gain more weight. I have never cleansed. If you feel better at the end of it, all the power to you. I suppose.

    The only thing to drink that is more effective than your liver at removing toxins is bleach.

    1) Why is Dr. Oz so obsessed with raspberries? THEY ARE DISGUSTING!
    2) Detox ultra bath? Please tell me this is a joke.

    I started the 3 day cleanse this past Friday and it was hard at times, but I made it through. I have been slowly losing weight since January and was on a plateau, so I decided to do something different. I started at 210.0lbs and finished my 3 days at 205.0lbs.

    Instead of going right back into eating the same way again, I've now started the 7 day bathing suit diet. First day of smoothies was WONDERFUL compared to the 3 day detox ones. Today I got to start eating solid foods/meals again and woke up excited. I also woke up at 203.0lbs.

    Am loving this different way of eating and feel fantastic. Don't plan on gaining anything back. :flowerforyou:

    Of course you take a bath. The voodoo magic foods detox your insides, the bath detoxes yours outsides. Duh! :laugh:

    I think we might have a problem when you start off a sentence with, "Today I got to start eating solid foods/meals again and woke up excited!"

    ...unless you're a baby or senile. Or you just want to be skinny. One of the above.

    I'd be interested to know how many calories these smoothies net.
    My guess is that you're losing massive amounts of muscle.

    Cleanse by bathsheba_c

    To cleanse or not to cleanse? That is the question.
    Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
    The slings and arrows of non-specific toxins
    Or to take arms against a sea of imagined bowel obstructions
    And by opposing, perforate one's colon. To juice; to detox;
    No more; and by a detox to say we end
    The pH and the balance of intestinal flora
    That guts are heir to, 'tis a consummation
    Devoutly to be avoided. To juice; to detox;
    To detox: perchance to puke: aye, there's the rub;
    For in the pangs of indigestion what side-effects may come
    When we go and leave our undies soiled.

    Bwahahaha!!!!

    Cleanses..... because there is not enough $h!t in this world.
