I have a work trip coming up next week and am basically going to be living out of a car/hotel room for the next bit. I’ve been really on track for nearly two months now and don’t want to break the streak.
I’m curious — what are your favourite easy-assemble health meals from grocery store ingredients?
What are you favourite go-to travel foods?

Smoked turkey or chicken breast, hummus, vegetable tray (cost more but already cut up), garden wraps and fruit.
    Yogurt, granola and vanilla wafers.

You can buy ziploc microwave bags that are great for steaming vegetables and cooking meat in - I use them frequently when traveling; most box rice you can cook in microwave etc

Fruit and nuts are natures instant foods on the go.

I just ask any restaurant to do my grilled fish or chicken with dry spice rub and a side salad with no dressing.

When I was in the US travelling, we ate in our rooms a lot - my go to was a box of mixed lettuce, a bag of shredded carrot/broccoli/Beetroot, cherry tomatoes etc.
Boiled eggs, packets of salmon, pre cooked chicken for protein.

I'd dump everything in to the box of leaves, add some avo, or cheese, or a dip... And voilà, dinner! With no washing up! :)

This was basically me a few weeks ago! I was on a camp, food catered was unhealthy, and I had no access to any facilities for preparing food.
    Here’s what I did:
    - Small tins of tuna and a few low cal crackers
    - Fresh fruit
    - Beef jerkey
    - Bags of pre-prepared baby carrots, and some cherry tomatoes
    - Pre-portioned snack bags of nuts
    - Protein bars

Also ate some of the healthier options available at camp from time to time. If not, mixes of the above were my go-to meals.

Came back with a loss, so was pretty happy about that!

Bagels plus cream cheese and some raw veggie added to it - I loved sliced jalapeños, but you could do shredded carrots, etc...

If you like salad, you could try to get one of those already made roast chickens at the store, plus bagged salad, and you have instant chicken salad, so still pretty low cal, but enough protein and stuff to satisfy. Just take some large ziplock bags with you to store them in the little hotel fridge for a couple meals.

hummus plus some chopped veggies like baby carrots to dip in it.

flavored nuts and seeds - easy to take with you, quick protein fix.
Many of the grocery stores now have little areas with sushi rolls - if you pick a vegetarian one, like an avocado or cucumber roll, they are pretty low calorie and pretty tasty.
