New here and nervous!

Feeling a little bit nervous! I'm going to start Monday morning weighing myself tomorrow and haven't regularly weighed myself for years!
I'm a teacher so am going to spend the next half term (6 weeks) alcohol free and aiming to lose a pound/week, then will review at the next holiday and see if I need to change anything about my goals. I'm quite excited about all the cooking. I love making healthy food and have lots of yummy recipes ready to go, but I'm a bit scared of the accountability myfitnesspal gives!
Anyone else brand new to this? How are you feeling about tracking calories? And about not being able to lie to yourself for comfort...
