would you say doing laundry (folding/putting away clothes) counts as 'cleaning'?

Sure, it's cleaning clothes. And if you want to eat more food because you counted this as cardio, well, good luck with that.

Do you honestly feel that you get your heartrate up and get a cardio benefit and large extra burn from folding and putting away laundry? If it's not getting your heartrate up high for 10 minutes or is not prolonged with absolutely no rest whatsoever, you're just cheating yourself by counting it, imho.

    No. Cleaning is not cardio.

I would only include intentional cardio exercise (long walks, jogging, rowing, etc. Doing anything else just to "earn more calories" is a joke.

P.S. i do however include "sex" in the cardio list, because a.) it's intentional and b.) you can work up one hell of a sweat.

If it's your own laundry, don't count it - this is normal activity. If you're functioning as a nanny or other caretaker type (and probably on your feet all day), go switch your activity level from 'sedentary' to 'light'.

i know there are days where i wanna eat more and say "well..... i DID change those bed sheets"
but honestly, just chalk it up as it's gonna make you feel better and the scale might look better also. but nothing more.
