Bad day, struggling to stay on track

It's only 1pm and I'm so done with today. I just want to curl up in bed with tea and cookies and skip my workout today.

I have stayed on track for meals today (so far)- thanks to prelogging! Trying to get myself psyched up for a weight lifting session and not being lazy. I'm going to make some herbal tea and look up some before/after pics- usually that's enough to get me moving again. What do you do to refocus?

I put on my gym clothes and tell myself if I still want to quit after 10 minutes of working out, I can.
    I never do.

It depends. If I am feeling wiped out, I rest. If I am feeling.lazy, I just start moving. Even if I don't do as much as usual, something is better than nothing.

I've discovered those liquid, sugar-free lemonade (and other flavors) drink mixes. They have pre-workout kinds that have caffeine to give that little boost for the gym. Really helps with water intake and energetic workouts. The Walmart ones are cheaper and taste good.

You're right, once I get going it'll be fine. Getting there is the hard part sometimes haha.

Agreed! I'm not physically wiped out so I'm sure it's just lazy and tired of people in general. Thanks for the reminder.

sometimes getting out and burning off the frustration and negatives feeling is the best way to go.
and sometimes tea and comfy bed are ok too

I'll have to look into those. I get migraines really bad so I watch my caffeine and no artificial sweetners. Basically water and tea here haha.

You've got this. Keep going. I struggle with the weight lifting as well. I've noticed how I am always proud of myself for going , but when I don't go I'm always hard on myself and regret not going.

Thank you! I did it. Got the weights done, some stretching and took the kids on a bonus walk :) I feel a little better now and I'll really enjoy the bread I made this afternoon!

I've always been a cardio person aside from a weight lifting class in high school so I'm trying to get back into it but getting into a habit of it is hard.
