Hi everyone, long time user first time posting.
I’m a 30yo female at 105, looking to simply be 100 as this is where I’m healthiest in my 4’11” petite body.
I workout doing pilates and light weights 4-5 days a week. I hike in summer as much as possible. I work at home on computer so I always pick sedentary.

My IIFYM macros change every time I fill it out! I was trying to do 40/30/30 but then I found IIFYM and that wants like 20/40/40 then it changed and changed again and I just don’t trust it! 20% macros seems too little especially if I do yardwork or hike.
Anyway, I used 40/30/30 Ana am eating way more protein but the scale says I’m a pound heavier every day! Please give me some assistance before I just go back to a calorie deficit. I lost 25 lbs staying at 900 calories not ever looking at macros and now I’m just frustrated.

I also have a slow metabolism with inflammation issues so I feel like my fat can’t be too high...
    I’m going with 40 carbs/ 35 protein/ 25 fat until someone advises otherwise.

I do both, so keep a calorie deficit and watch my macros, I’m trying to cut fat and build muscle so I’m at 50/20/30 and it seems to work for me and I keep about a 500 calorie deficit. Hope you get there

Macros don't matter for weight loss. Macros matter for satiety, so eat whatever combo/percentages that satisfies you at the calorie level you need to eat to lose. It will take a long time to lose that 5 vanity pounds though, so don't expect it to come off in a month.

you cannot weigh one static weight. everyone has a weight range some have a 5-7 lb weight range some less some more), weigh fluctuates hour to hour, day to day. if the scale says you weigh a lb heavier the next day its water retention.. also 900 calories is too little. unless you have had your BMR and metabolism tested and its very low then 900 will most likely be too little of calories for you. especially if exercising or staying busy.

also if you are not weighing all your food you could be eating your maintenance calories is you are not losing, but with 5 lbs to lose its going to be very slow. honestly if you think you have a lot of body fat then use MFP and enter your info to maintain weight, find a progressive lifting program and try to gain some muscle while losing fat. it will take awhile to see results but its worth it.also eat back about half of exercise calories. go by the MFP method and dont worry about the IIFYM equation for awhile and see if that helps.

I tried IIFYM and for me it was harder to try and hit my macros compared to using the mfp NEAT method,
