Help/advice appreciated

Im 6'7. 290. My goal is to get down to 220. Right now im on an outdated eating plan from the 90s. Its got me at around 1k calories which isnt hard to achieve, i just dont think its healthy. Ive been on it for a week and im to the point where i can barely reach 700 calories a day. I feel like i should be up around 1500-2k calories (even for weight loss). Ideas, thoughts? I just want to do this as healthily as possible.

    I should note i started at 305 six days ago and am currently at 288/288 as of this morning. Also im not hungry in the least.

    At your size even 2000 sounds awfully low. Set your goal to lose a pound a week, log everything as accurately as possible, and add in some calorie dense items if you can't meet your goal on what you're eating.

    At 6'7" and 290 lb I would imagine you definitely need at least 2000 calories per day. That seems crazy to me...1000 calories?

    I started using MFP around 260-270 lb and am only 5'8" and I lost 1.5 lb per week eating around 1800-2000 calories at that time if I remember correctly. I'm currently maintaining at 170 lb eating 1400-1600 calories per day.
