Pain in leg during squat/lunge

Hi all! I have a question. Since a while, I've been experiencing pain in my right leg when I squat or lunge (so basically during a deep bend). It feels sort of as if something snaps. English is not my native language, and I find it hart to describe it well without sounding weird, but it feels as if something is pulled to hard and then snaps. It hurts pretty bad, but it doesn't always occur and I never have any pain afterwards. I've tried all types of positions which could maybe ease that feeling, but it doesn't seem to help. Does anyone recognize this? I am planning on going to physiotherapy for other problems, but I'd really like to know if there are others who experience(d) this.

I'm thinking your form may not have been good while doing a deep squat. Stop the routine and go to a specialist and see if they can do an x ray stay away from it for a while.1
