So I bought so KT tape to use on my knee to help reduce discomfort and inflammation from arthritis. Most of the discomfort is when I am walking down stairs. My orthopedist told me there were videos I could watch to assist in the application of the tape. I watched the video and they are telling me to use 50% stretch or 20% stretch. I'm not getting it. Half the time I feel fine, the other half it feels weird.
Looking for some advice and/or assistance. Has anyone applied this or another brand of this kind of tape? How did it work for you? Any tips or tricks you could pass along?

I've applied it to my back. Just keep watching videos. Figure out what the 20 and 50% means. The KT take doesn't really do much but remind you of the injury lol. I mean...I always thought it made my back feel better but it could have been a placebo. It does offer a little support that feels nice.

I’ve used it on my knees for running injuries and elbow for tennis injuries. Love it it works wonders for me. I just follow the official KT take videos.. the % stretches are a bit of an art but mostly you just pull it very tight and assume that’s your “100% stretch” and walk back from there. Also KT Pro takes work so much better than Regular KT and stays on longer too. Hope that helps
