3rd day using this app and finally got a chance to balance everything (first two were birthday related) and I managed to get my macro %s perfect but the actual values were over even though my calories were 2 short.

I thought all calories come from carbs, protein or fat. Can I get calories without any of the three? Is this a setting related thing? Anyone else notice this?

On a bit of a different topic, I just started using this app instead of that lifesum one because it only shows macros so I never noticed boiled eggs had 62% DV cholesterol and I had been eating two everyday, my sleep improved when I stopped eating them. Anyways, the more you know.

That's a 70 calorie difference between your macros and calories eaten. Most likely in this case it's a rounding issue with some of the numbers, but you should still double check that the entries you used are correct.

There is a fourth macro, alcohol, that you can get calories from but isn't tracked.

    Possible reasons:

    - Rounding (even on food labels the numbers don't always line up perfectly)
    - Entry Errors (many foods in the MFP database are user-entered and can contain errors)
    - Alcohol (occasionally included in carbs, but is typically a separate category of calories)

Oh, I see, kinda thought that might be the reason.

I imagine focusing on the macro percentages would be my best bet.

Based on your reply, get the impression that I was correct about calories only coming from macros.

    Anyways, thank you.

This should be 220 calories based on the macros if my quick google search + math is correct. (1g fat = 9 cal, 1g protein or carb = 4 cal) I will be going through the rest but it seems like all of these just added up.

I would still like to know if anyone else has experienced this.

Also, it's nice to know about the alcohol, although, I don't drink.
