So water weight aside, had anyone ever noticed that your body "lets go" of weight you recently gained a little faster than weight that's been on a long time? Ie: I just moved countries and have been setting up life and ended up gaining like 15 lbs. Now some of our might be a difference between the scales but I'm definitely up at least 10. I'm getting back on track again and it seems to be coming off a little quicker than my loss last year. And once I noticed it, I seem to remember this happening a few years ago when I quickly starred to take off weight right after gaining it. anyone else notice anything like this?

For reference I'm still eating at the same 1400 cal and using IF 18:6

I lose my 5-10 Lbs of winter weight at the same right I lost my initial 40. It just doesn't take as long obviously, so it seems easier.

It depends on whether the weight gain is true fat gain or mostly water weight.
If I have truly gained 1 or 2lbs of fat in a few weeks then it takes me twice as long as that to get it off :/ (but that might be because I can't/ won't do more than 250 a day cal deficit)

If gain 2 pounds in a month, it will take me about 10 days to reverse weight gain and get my body into losing mode through the deficit I create, so about 5ish weeks to show a loss of 2 pounds, the rest is usually lost at my expected rate of loss, all though not linearly from week to week. Weight trending app helps tremendously when losing slower.

I have not found that. I find that I lose weight at the same rate. When I go and vacation and i overdo it, it takes me a few weeks to lose maybe 10-15 lbs, which is about my normal rate.
