I have posted 3 times in a week looking for friends to give me that motivational support needed and only one person added me. What's up MFP people....?

The age of "friend collecting" seems to be over. Many people are getting more selective about who they connect with.
Can you really be motivated by total strangers on the internet?1 -
Why don't you start sending friend requests yourself to people who interest you? I mean, why is it up to everyone else?
I think there is a bit of a problem when someone posts and says they need support, motivation, etc. I know I don't have the inclination to be anyone's support. I do fine on my own and don't need the motivation, either. Plus my food diary is locked, I don't go to my home page or my feed ever - I'm basically not a good "friend" to have on MFP and I don't utilize the friend feature.

You didn't think to add some people yourself? From the hundreds of other 'I want friends' threads?
Here's one to start you off...

Send a message along with your friend request to people that you would like to have as a friend. I'm looking for people who have common interests or goals. I do not respond to friend requests without messages.0

I agree with others. I like to friend like minded people. Someone close to my age, women who lift weights, people who don't post snap chat selfies of themselves all day long, people who believe in eating all the things and don't think carbs are evil, etc. definitely send a message to the person with the request as to why you sent it.2

I never log into this. The only reason I did, is because I got the email about the security breach. I definitely need a fitness and healthy eats buddy. If we are near the same point or age in life, have some of the same interests, or etc., I'm interested in being 'friends' here. I'm 41 and I have 2 kids. I lift dumbbells but I don't go to the gym. I have a bunch of Yoga, TurboJam, Ballet Conditioning, Wii, and PiYo DVDs. I have a stationary bike and a rebounder. Let me know if you're interested in connecting and supporting/encouraging each other.0 -

The boards have been clogged with Chit/Chat and Fun/Games. The Introduce Yourself board gets dropped off the bottom of the page pretty darn quick. Getting lost in the shuffle. I hope MFP fixes this soon.
Add me, if you like.0
