Feeling Stuck

Hi everyone, im on day 25 of my diet. I feel like im not getting anywhere with it. So far the most amount of weight I have lost has been 3.3lbs but that weight keeps changing and going up and down again. I was on a 1,200 cal diet at the start but I upped that to 1,600 because of feeling hungry and tired all the time. Im just feeling frustrated that im putting all this work in counting out everything im eating and timing my exercises and im hardly seeing any results. I know it takes a while so I dont want to sound impatient its just making me feel down.

    It's been 25 days

    Weight is never constant

0.5lb a week is a good weight weight loss and you are running double that

    Be patient

Not getting anywhere? You’re losing almost exactly a pound per week!

Weight fluctuates. I can go two or even three weeks at a time with no losses, or more likely a slight gain. But if I put my head down and spend that time eating at my target deficit, I know the weight WILL eventually come off. I’ll lose a few pounds at a rapid clip and then go back to being “stuck,” because the “stuck” time is just as much a part of my body’s weight loss as the fun bits when the scale has great news for me every morning.

Your body has its own reaction to a caloric deficit, and it may not match your ideas of how it should work. That’s okay, though, as long as it IS working. Which it won’t, if you give up, so what are the choices here, really? :)

a half a pound to a pound a week is good!

depending on your stats, 1600 may be close to your maintenance (im 5'1 and 40 years old and for me, it is)

my weight fluctuates on a daily basis by up to 5 pounds. Add in TOM and it can be more.

Youre doing good! Just be consistent!
