Keto

Anyone using MFP doing the Keto diet? If so, how's the tracking going? What percent do you set your carbs, protein, and fat? Amy suggestions for success? I wanna drop 40 fat pounds.

You'll want to add a plugin to your browser so MFP will track net carbs for you.

I do Keto off and on, and presently I am off. That said, when I am doing Keto, I set my macros at 65% fat, 25% protein, and 10% carb, that seems to be the ratio that works best for me. You may find that you need to play around with the numbers a little bit to figure out what works for you. I like having carbs with dinner, so I typically stick to a zero carb breakfast, zero to ultra low carb lunch, and then splurge and have 20 or so carbs with my dinner.

I suggest increasing sodium to prevent lost electrolytes so you can avoid the "keto flu" in the first few weeks. a teaspoon of salt of salty broth will help with that.

For macros, my protein is usually moderate and between 20-25%. Carbs are usually 0-10% and fat is the rest.

I am currently on the keto diet, I started this past Sunday, I'm down 4.2lbs already. I edited my macro goals to 70% fat, 20% protein, and 10% carbs. I get all of my recipes from draxe.com and dietdoctor.com. I have made keto tex-mex casserole, cauliflower pizza, and lemon pepper wings. Message me for details and I can assist you in making the transition.
