I took the kids to the park today and, as usual, we stopped through McD's on the way home for lunch. I bought food for them, but opted to wait until I got home to make myself a sandwich on my new Dave's Killer Bread (If you haven't tried it, you should! It's whole grains/seeds and full of fiber, but it's delicious). For the first time ever, I did not give in and buy a meal for myself even though I could have easily fit one into my calories for the day. I did end up eating two nuggets and a smaller-than-small bit of fries, weighed and logged, but NOT a full meal.

Congratulations on the self control. Why not skip the drive through next time and make the whole family a more healthy lunch? Just a suggestion, no judgment.

Definitely congratulations. I would have been getting myself an ice cream cone without even thinking about. (It's really the only thing I eat there other than the filet o fish and I haven't had that in years.)

It's a once every month or so treat for my daycare kiddos. I can't take them to the park often, because there are too many to fit carseats into the truck, so we only go when we're down to three. Every other day, they get home-cooked meals for breakfast and lunch. (And I also cook supper for my own kiddo, so part of it is just being tired of cooking 3/day every day lol)
