Really so happy so far! Started in February, hit my goal, and enjoy the foods & energy. The first few weeks were rough, though.
I recommend going here: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/394-low-carber-daily-forum-the-lcd-group
Very supportive people over there!1 -
I lost 30lbs between keto and LCHF last year, and am maintaining now still eating that way. I always hit my protein goals without trying which I like and I personally eat less without feeling hungry. Sometimes it can be a little difficult to find "vessels" for your food without starches like bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, but it gives you a reason to get creative.
Some of my personal favorite recipes:
Pizza with cauliflower crust
taco bowls
eggs literally any way
steak (yum)
bunless burgers, either wrapped in lettuce or just naked with cheese
grilled chicken is super versatile
seafood: scallops, shrimp, salmon, tuna...
Veggies I like: broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, spinach, peppers,
Fruits I like: watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, tomato, avocado

What is the keto diet?0

Short answer: It's a high fat, moderate protein, low carbohydrate way of eating. Some people find that it results in better appetite control which makes it easier for them to consistently hit a deficit and lose weight (or stay in a range that allows them to maintain their weight). Some people (mistakenly) believe that a ketogenic diet makes a calorie deficit *unnecessary* to lose weight.8 -

It's something like Atkins phase 1. Very little, or no, sugars, flours, grains or starches. Meat veggies, eggs, and dairy are the basic foods.0 -
I have been strict keto since 1/20/18. Never felt better in my life!1

I commend every one of you who can stick to a keto diet!!!
I have such a big sweet tooth, that's always been my downfall. I've tried LCHF like five times thinking each time I could do it. 10 days was the most I could last. I just need sugar in my life!! So, good job, mates! You guys are awesome!
