Need job suggestions

I work for my father & he just let me know that he is going to sell his businesses at the end of next year. Unfortunately we can't live on my husbands salary alone so I'm trying to figure out what I'll do next. Right now I work when I want & I can bring my 4 kids with me to work if they are sick or out of school. I need something flexible like that for the future. Childcare for 4 kids is crazy expensive & one of my kids is special needs & I need to be home when he gets home.

I am thinking about doing real estate appraisals--I could set my own schedule & I think it would be really interesting--I spend a lot of time looking at houses & land for sale, looking at floor plans, & making my own floor plans. Has anyone done this?

What else could I do where I could make about $1,000 a month & have a flexible schedule? I have probably a year & a half to get any training I need.
