Garlic bread. Frozen or cookes for the weight?

I've always weighed it as frozen but now I'm not so sure. The serving size weight is 40g but when I weighed it partially thawed it came to 53g! So I ended up cutting some off. If you eat garlic bread, do you weigh it as frozen or once it's cooked?

Frozen. Cooked will vary due to moisture lost in the cooking process

hmmm.... I can see how heating up garlic bread in the oven might reduce its weight given that some water will evaporate.

By what mechanism would the weight increase between frozen and thawed?

Me thinks you have a measurement problem; not a different weight problem!

Anything frozen I weigh frozen unless the package says the weight is for the finished product except for meat. I weigh the individually frozen chicken breasts after they have thawed.

I must lead a sheltered life - I didn't even know there was such a thing as frozen garlic bread.

Just because it never occurs to me to weigh them until just before I cook them.
