I didn't feel like the article really had much to say except you need to exercise more than you think. For myself, I feel strongly about eating whole foods. Chemicals and things that are man made out of a box just can't be good for you. I follow a way of eating similar to Paleo known as the Primal Blueprint. Marksdailyapple.com. The article you referred to discussed how feeling stated helps with weight loss. I haven't found that anything that came out of a bag or a box satisfied me for very long. There are groups at MFP which discuss Paleo/Prima if you are interested. I have been doing this about a month and have lost about 9 lbs. I do pay attention to my calories and other macros (which I have customized). I find the defaults at MFP cause me to be hungry. I am not near as hungry using the same calories on Primal. Good luck on your journey. I would suggest you research different ways of eating before defaulting to what MFP suggests. We're all different after all.
